First time ever putting my own fake hair in! Don’t really know the difference in the #marleybraids vs #havanatwists but this is what I have! I love them! Updated Hair Regimine
I’ve been promising this forever!!! HERE WE GO!
Right now I’m testing out products by Keythema aka Lady Key from Youtube BUT this is my regimen otherwise. Right now I’m using her moisturizing mist, shea butter sealant, gel and scalp relief formula. So I’m not currently using my gels listed below, or personal shea butter mixture.
Products:
Deep Conditioner: Mixed Chicks (sold at target & most beauty supply stores)
-used every month to detangle
Regular Conditioner: Pantene Curly (sold at cvs, target, and beauty supply stores)
-used every week
Leave in Conditioner: Cantu Shea Butter (sold at target & beauty supply Stores)
-used to style hair and keep moisturized when styled
Gels (2): ECOStyler Gel (sold at cvs, target, and beauty supply stores);
Aloe Vera Gel (drugstore.com)
Both gels are nonalcoholic because alcohol dries the hair out.
-used to style twists or when roller setting
Oil: Extra Virgin Olive Oil (sold at grocery stores)
-used to seal in moisture
Moisturizer: Raw Shea Butter (sold at beauty supply stores in plastic container) Mixed with Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-used daily to keep moisturized
Every 3 Month’s
Protein Treatment: Mix Mayo, 1 Egg, mixed chicks deep conditioner whipped until thick.
1. Place hair into sections and apply mixture.
2. Put on Shower cap for 30min
3. Rinse, condition with Pantene Curly
4. Style.
ONCE A MONTH:
Deep Condition with Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner
1. Place hair into sections and apply.
2. Put on Shower cap for 30min
3. Rinse and Style.
EVERY WEEK:
1. Condition with Pantene Curly
2. Apply plastic cap for 30min – 1hour
3. Rinse, Moisturize and Style
EVERY DAY:
1. Spray with water in morning & apply shea butter
2. Apply raw shea butter
3. Spray with water & oil before bed
4. Wrap with silk/satin scarf and/ or sleep in silk pillowcase
Note: If I plan to use ECO styler gel I DO NOT use the Cantu leave in because they do not mix well together. Instead I apply raw shea butter on before applying the gel.
